Having fun experimenting with using native vines to decorate my metal hoops. I noticed a big black wattle tree on our property has a wild vine sending down masses of stringy roots towards the ground (swipe to see it) ... and couldn’t resist trying out my natural (free) twine. It’s still a little green which makes it easy to wrap and I’ll keep an eye on how it dries out. I think it should wear fine as it is very strong 🌿 Funny how when you are obsessed with a craft you look at everything in a different way. ‘Jasmine Mandala’ has been released into the wild 🐆 I’m overjoyed with the result and enjoyed the journey of being a pattern tester for @pandascrochet (who is now generously sharing it for free) 👏 This project only took one 50g ball of crochet cotton (with a bit left over) yet is still a decent size. Introducing ... 🥁🥁🥁 ... my first completed mandala!! 🥰 I am literally hooked on doing these !! and can’t wait to try different patterns and yarns. This pattern is the vintage double pineapple in 100% cotton and a 2.75 hook. I must admit it took me a long time 😵Next step is to stretch it into a hoop.
